Sunny California

Last weekend, I went to Sacramento, to visit some of my BYU roommates, AmyAnn and Alena. It was so nice to take a vacation and see them again! Here's the play-by-play of the fun we had...
Friday:
- Helping Alena start her baby registry at Target
- Going to the Sacramento Temple with AmyAnn, Alena, Alena's husband, Dave, and their friends from Sacramento, Jen, Jen, and Arianne. The Sacramento Temple is beautiful, and we had a wonderful experience going through a session together.
- Going to Big Spoon for frozen yogurt for Alena's birthday. I love Big Spoon! You get to choose your flavor(s) of frozen yogurt, put on your own toppings, and then they weigh it at the end...delicious!
- Late-night grocery shopping for picnic lunch items and treats for Saturday
Saturday: San Francisco!
- Dale Chihuly blown-glass exhibit at de Young Museum. This was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend going to an exhibit, if one comes near you! Just like I had a hard time picking out my absolute favorite piece of the exhibit, I couldn't pick just one or two pictures, so here's a slideshow of all the pictures I took :)

- Picnic lunch at a park by the Museum. We had an amazing lunch (thanks to AmyAnn), then played frisbee and five crowns. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy the sun!
- Visit the beach and drive to a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge
- Dinner at Boudin's and dessert at Ghirardelli's Chocolate Factory. Mmmm...the best hot fudge sundae I've ever had! :) Alena found this cute hat at Boudin's!

Sunday:
- Church with Dave and Alena. Alena's in the primary presidency, and they didn't have enough teachers, so I got to teach! I only had 3 students, and they were really great. Not exactly waht you expect when you're visiting a ward! :)
- Homemade Cafe Rio by AmyAnn. This was absolutely amazing!! We the option of chicken salads or chicken burritos, and I had one of each!

Then, we played games - bananagrams (speed scrabble, but with a different name - why didn't we think of that?) and another round of five crowns since AmyAnn lost on Saturday and wanted a chance to redeem herself :) Brooks (AmyAnn's husband) had to work all weekend, but he did get to eat dinner with us and joined in on five crowns.

Monday:
-Pedicures with AmyAnn, Alena, Jen Dunn, and Dave. Yes, Dave came - he's a smart man..who would turn down a foot massage?! I decided to follow the crowd and get french tips, and flower with a little 'bling'. My toes have never looked this good :)

-Lunch at In and Out
- Shopping at the Outlets - I found a great jean jacket and a brown sweater, and bought Jelly Bellies, since the factory is close by.
