Rain Forest! 07.15-16.11

Last weekend, I checked off an item on my bucket list - hiking in the rain forest in Olympic National Park. It was amazing - so green and beautiful! It was great to get away, be outside, and spend time with great friends! On Friday, we drove to Hurricane Ridge, ate lunch at Lake Crescent, then set up camp at Sol Duck. We hiked to the Sol Duc Falls, enjoyed the Sol Duc hot springs, and won our battle with the stove to have tomato soup with our pie iron grilled cheese sandwiches, and homemade s'mores for dessert (yes, JJ made homemade graham crackers and marshmallows - delicious!). Saturday started with egg mcmuffins on homemade honey-wheat english muffins, and we drove to the Hoh Rain Forest. Yes, it was wet, but it was also gorgeous - I can't wait to go back! Next time - camping on the coast!
