Busy Two Weeks, part 3

Wednesday, 5/27: Drive to Spokane after work, for work - had to drive instead of fly because we needed our dodecahedron loudspeaker (i.e. 'the dodec') for measurements Thursday night
Thursday, 5/28: Pick up boss at airport and go to meeting with architects in Spokane, drive to Moscow, ID for recital hall measurements and listening to live music in the recital hall
Friday, 5/29: Meeting with architects and faculty, drive back to Seattle

Busy Two Weeks Stats:
Total days in my own bed, 5/18-5/28: 2/12
Hours driving, 5/18-5/28: 23+(13.5 in part 3)
Cities visited: Forest Grove, Portland, Burien, Seattle, Moses Lake, Spokane, Pullman, Moscow
Lessons learned:
- Driving from Seattle to Spokane takes more like 5 1/2 hours, not 4 1/4 hours like google maps says
- My nephew is REALLY adorable and fun
- Renting a car to drive across Washington is almost more hassle than its worth to save the mileage on my car
- I have wonderful friends...who help me by cleaning my apartment, and picking me up downtown when I work late
- My M.S. advisor was very wise when he asked me to write my own code for architectural acoustics parameters - I copied and reused this code just this week at work - saved me hours of time!!
- My brother and sister-in-law are AWESOME and I admire them both so much - they're really great spouses and parents
- Working on the Tabernacle in college really can apply to other jobs
- Audiobooks are a great way to pass the time while driving for several hours...
- Other acousticians outside of BYU recognize me at ASA and respect my opinion
- I really shouldn't stress out so much - everything works out
- I love playing with my nephew and trying to figure out how to keep my distracted or make him laugh
- I love the sound of my nephew's belly laugh! It's super cute and contagious.
- The plush soccer ball I bought at Ikea last year was well worth the ~$5 I paid for it (Taylor loved it)
- Washington is a beautiful state

Hey Sa-rah, I'm sorry we weren't in Pullman to see you this time. That would have been fun. I'm glad for your sake you didn't have to drive out to ND for some acoustic business. :) Looks like a lot of fun with family too...great times. :)

Han-Yeah, I wished you and Todd were still in Pullman, too - I'll be sure to jump on any jobs we get in ND!

The last couple of weeks may have been crazy, but if you really learned all that then it was worth it - what's better in life than learning great lessons?? But, I do hope the next couple of weeks are quite as busy! ;)
